Call Your Lawmakers Today

ADA is a member of The Leadership Conference for Guaranteed Healthcare that has adopted an action plan that includes two national call-in days to Congressional members.  Today, December 22nd, is the first.  The call-in days will focus coalition organizations on asking their membership to call individual members of Congress to support HR676. With your help, we will get thousands of calls to Congress in support of HR 676!

The December 22nd Call-In day will target Congressional members in their in-district offices.  Find your lawmakers local phone number here.

We want to reach ALL members of Congress with our message.  Ask if your Member is a current cosponsor of HR 676, then thank them for their support and encourage them to speak out in favor of HR 676.  If your Member is not a cosponsor, then ask them to join as a cosponsor of HR 676.  Rep. Conyers plans to reintroduce the National Health Insurance Act. HR676 shortly after the Congress starts the 111th Session in January 2009.

Hi, my name is ------------. I am calling to encourage Representative ___________________ to support of HR676, the National Health Insurance Act.  Rep. Conyers will reintroduce HR676 shortly after the Congress convenes the 111th session in January 2009.  I support HR 676 and I want Rep. _________to support HR676 as well, single payer healthcare legislation.  Single payer provides more freedom of choice and access to quality care for patients and it is the most economical way to make sure we all can access care when we need it.  Now is the time to give the gift of affordable healthcare for all to every American.
