Stand Up for Public Heroes Who Stand Up for You Everyday

ADA's campaign to "Stand Up for Public Heroes" is focused on protecting what is in the public interest -- public workers and public services. Our communities rely on public services such as education, health services, public safety and sanitation. We must, therefore, stand up for our teachers, nurses, police officers, firefighters, and sanitation workers across the country.

ADA will continue to work to increase public awareness for the need to protect these workers and their service upon which we all depend.

ADA's Campaign

Americans for Democratic Action is working on state based actions to turn back the assult on public workers and the services they provide. We're currently focusing our efforts in three key states:

Ohio - to help place the referendum on the ballot to repeal SB 5.

Wisconsin - to aid the recall campaign against 7 GOP state senators.

New Hampshire - to help build the ground support neccessary to influence legislators to sustain the Governor's veto.
