Religious Freedom and the Bush Administration No. 255

Adopted 2001
Amended 2003
Reaffirmed 2004
Reaffirmed 2006
Reaffirmed 2007

The Bush Administration's and its Congressional allies' efforts to use the force of government to promote religion is unconstitutional.

ADA strongly opposes any actions which breach the Constitution's separation of church and state. Furthermore, ADA urges the Congress to refrain from any action which would further erode the wall between church and state and to scrutinize closely any Administration actions which may abridge First Amendment religious freedoms.
